Helford Passage – Falmouth
Having stayed at a fab hotel to celebrate the half way point, I luxuriaterd in bed till all three sleep alarms had sounded, then lingered over breakfast with a newspaper. Good thing I had a short walk planned.
Returning to Helford passage took a bit of willpower because there was a much faster overland route to the swcp further on than where I left it the previous afternoon.

Being such a pedant didn’t seem to matter, though, when the path was repeatedly diverted away from unstable cliffs. Instead of coast walking, there was miles of woodland and field walking across very annoying (knee-wearying) slopes…

It’s times like these when a horse would come in handy.
Eventually the path and the water got reacquainted and the Beast and I lumbered into swanpool beach (first pics) and the surprisingly attractive Falmouth harbour (people have been warning me not to expect much, but I found it very welcoming).
